Davao Cyber Expo 2013

Save the date guys! Here comes the Davao Cyber Expo 2013 which will be held at SM Annex Event Center.

From July 26 to 28, different events are lined-up for the gamers and enthusiasts alike.

Davao Cyber Expo has been successful through all the years with NCCC Mall of Davao hosted the 1st Cyber Expo.

With this year, expect bigger events and expos. I've also been into these events and I can say, they've been successful and it's one of the most awaited event of the year.

Here are the events that you should never miss:

1.) Davao Cyber Games - Professional players from all over the country will fight as they play "League of Legend" and Heroes of New Earth" and claim to be a cyber game supremacy. Don't ever miss this one and be in action! This will run from July 26 to 28.

2.) Lan Party Extreme - Geeks and techies out there will fight as they impress the gamers community and mall rats with the custom-made and fine tuned computers. This will also run from July 26 to 28.

3.) Tech Xtreme Exhibits - Craving for new gadgets? Well, worry no more as the exhibitors from leading tech and gaming companies will introduce their latest line of products and promotions! This will run from July 26 to 28. (I'm also itching for this one!)

4.) Cosplay Mania - And for the most awaited event, cosplay your favorite characters as the Cosplay Royalties Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao will make their presence felt as the judges for this year's DCE Cosplay competition. This will be held on July 27-28.

What are you waiting guys? This is one event that you should not pass on. For the gamers, for those who are itching with new gadgets and for cosplayers who want to participate the competition, head to SM Annex Event Center and join the fun!

Samsung Galaxy Mega Series Launch

July 7, 2013 - Samsung recently launched their Samsung Galaxy Mega Series at Abreeza Mall in Davao City. These new phones are larger than usual as it is bigger than a Samsung Grand. To my curiosity, I went into their booth to check out their new phones.

For few years since the launch of the first touchscreen phone, Samsung had maintained its quality through innovative ideas such as tablets, touch phones and smart phones. Now with these Samsung Galaxy Mega Series, it added the roster of an already large family of Samsung, ready to compete with other brands. Here are the two new phones:

This is the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. It has similarities with the Samsung Grand but this is much bigger. This is the affordable one than its counterpart.

This is the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. This one has a black colored casing. This phone has bigger specs than the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8.

These new phones are readily available in any Samsung stores near your location. When it comes to affordability, I choose Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. It is smooth and I played Virtua Tennis and didn't experience any lag while playing. When it comes to specifications, I choose Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. The graphics are much better and I tried using the camera. It has the same quality as other phones who have 8MP. But the price is still affordable for a new phone in the market. Globe GoSakto! How To Create Your Own Promo

 Are you dreaming of having your own prepaid promo that is fit for your budget? Or having a promo that suits to your daily needs?

You might ask.. What is Globe GoSakto?

Globe GoSakto! Is a new feature from Globe Telecom where it meets your demands that suits to your need. Whether you're running out of load or you want to surf in the internet, with Globe GoSakto!, possibility is endless.

To understand further, I made my own promo that is suited for what I want. The good thing is, I can create my own promo name! Cool right? You can be creative with your promo name or stick to what you like.

Here's what you gonna do. The pictures that you're about to see are the actual process of how I created my own promo. Excited? Well, let's begin!

 Just type in *143#

 This next feature will open after typing *143#. For GoSakto promo, choose 1.

After choosing 1, you have to create a promo. Choose 1 again.

After choosing 1, you can now choose on what promo that you want.

In my case, I chose 4.

After choosing your kind of promo, choose a type of CALLS that you want.

I chose number 1 which is to Globe and TM (Touch Mobile).

If you chose Globe/TM, you will be asked on how many minutes of calls

to Globe/TM. I chose 1 which is 10 minutes.

After choosing minutes of calls, choose kind of texts that you want.

Again, I chose number 1 which is to Globe/TM.

If you chose texts to Globe/TM, choose how many texts to Globe/TM.

I chose number 2 which is 100 texts.

After choosing number of texts, choose how many days you want your promo to be valid.

I chose number 2 which is 1 day.

After creating your promo, you may register immediately by choosing number 1.

But if you opt to name your promo first, choose number 2. 

I chose number 2.

You can be as creative as you can but it's limited to 8 characters only.

Think of a cool name for your promo.

In my case, it's NaiCombo.

After creating your promo, you may register your promo immediately or register and post on Facebook.

I chose to register immediately.

After registering your own promo, you will receive a text confirmation.

This is what you'll receive. 

It's a confirmation that you can now enjoy using your own promo!

Temple Run 2

Temple Run 2 is a newly-released game produced by Imango Studios. They're the ones who are behind Temple Run which was a big hit!

The game is set in a new location with more challenging obstacles including ziplines, mine tracks, sharper turns, and flames of fire. The game also features new power-ups. And as you have noticed, there were no 3 monkeys chasing the explorer but a big enlarged monkey.

My review: 
- The graphics are a lot better. It's pleasing to the eyes and the scenery is more beautiful than its predecessor.
- It is more challenging than before especially in the mine tracks. I always fail in that part. Tsss..
- When you start a game, you'll always start by riding in a zipline which is fun!
- The game is a lot faster which can make me confuse sometimes. But I'll get used to it.
- Overall, it is more fun and exciting, challenging and a LOT more difficult than the 1st version.
- Imango Studios did a great job on this. I would love to play the game again to master it.
